Tip Tuesday: 4 Tips To Make Your Wedding Day Run Smoothly
Today we are chatting about 4 helpful tips to make everything run smoothly on your wedding day.
While I am no expert, I have been to a couple wedding in my day. I have worked with various different timelines and my brides are always asking questions about tips + tricks to help make everything run smoothly and make the most of your wedding day. Here's just a few things I suggest to my couples:
Brides, it's okay to be the first in line to get your hair + makeup done. This is YOUR. DAY. Don't wait until the last minute to be the one to get your hair + makeup done. You would much rather be the first or second one done so that if something goes wrong, at least you will sure you are on time. Plus, then your photographer can steal you away for some formals while the rest of your girls are getting hair + makeup done. :)
STOP STRESSING. Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing! Give someone else the phone and let them deal with last minute changes and stresses, at this point the ONLY thing that matters is you getting to marry your best friend! Let everything else go and trust that everyone else who is helping you plan your wedding has this, they will help you put out any last-minute fires that come up. I am also there to help in anyway I can!
The Getting Room. Make sure there is plenty of natural light in there. (I'm working on a blog post that will discuss this more in detail later.) The importance of natural light in a wedding room is substantial! It will make a HUGE difference in your getting ready photos. Also, the getting room get's messy, I mean, sometimes there are 6-7 girls getting ready in there! It is also super helpful for getting ready photos if the room is as clutter-free as possible.
Schedule some time with your photographer for private time with just your groom. Whether this is after a first look or just a few minutes after the ceremony, but take that time to spend time with just you + your groom to soak in the details of your day. That time is SO IMPORTANT to be able to just sit for a few minutes and soak in the sweet moments before you are about to say "I do," or right after you have become one. Make sure you take that time.
